Update Your Monitoring Instructions

Keeping Your Monitoring Contacts Current

It is very important to regularly review, and if necessary update your contact list and action plan for your alarm responses.

1. Our security monitoring centre may be receiving signals about multiple alarm notifications, which is a tell-tale sign of a burglary occuring. If we don't have an accurate contact list to action, delays can be costly to you.

2. Should you have a patrol dispatch listed as part of your emergency response, you will be billed $71.50* for a patrol car to attend. You may want to consider us phoning you first before dispatching a patrol car.

3. In Queensland, we have two minutes to respond to monitored smoke alarms. If we can't get hold of a nominated contact, we have to notify the fire brigade. If it is a false alarm, you will have to pay in excess of $800* for the cost of the fire brigade dispatch.

*Prices current as of August 2009, inc GST.
